Care for your layer

Hand wash or machine wash on a gentle/wool cycle in cold water (50-68°F). Use a mild wool-safe or pH-neutral detergent. Wash with similar colors. Don't bleach or use fabric softener.

Reshape while damp and lay flat to dry. Don't tumble dry, twist, or wring. Cool iron if needed. Store folded in a cool, dry space with airflow; avoid hanging.

International rates are calculated at checkout; estimated delivery is 10 to 20 business days. Customs duties and import taxes are your responsibility.

Eligible unused, unwashed items may be returned within 15 days of delivery. What counts is that you start your request within those 15 days; how long the package then takes to reach us does not affect your refund. Original packaging isn't required. The benefits

Why Alpaca wins

Alpacas en los Andes peruanos

Andes-adapted for changing temperatures

Alpacas evolved where days run warm and nights turn cold. Their semi-hollow fibers trap insulating air, helping you stay comfortable as the temperature changes.

Softness starts in the fiber

Alpaca’s smoother scales give the fabric a soft feel against your skin. Comfort comes from the fiber’s structure.

Wear more, wash less

Alpaca wool naturally resists odor. Air your layer between wears, then wash it when it needs cleaning. Less time doing laundry. More time outside.

Single origin

Peru, start to finish.

Arms of Andes is a family company with roots in the Peruvian Andes. “Arms” brings together the initials of four siblings. That connection to Peru shapes what we make and where we make it.

From fiber sourcing and yarn spinning to knitting and sewing, production stays in Peru. One country, with the people and knowledge behind your gear close together.

Luxury pants

I love that these sweatpants have some true weight to them when holding them, but feel so light when on. They are so comfortable and I’ve been loving them this winter!!! They’re slim enough to wear under some of my dresses for some serious warmth.

My new favorite pants

These aren't quite nice enough to wear to work but they look good enough to wear everywhere else. They are slim cut sweatpants so they look neater and more put together than traditional sweatpants. Beyond looks they feel amazing, comfortable and warm, I do always run cold so I love these but if you run warm you might want to consider lighter weight pants for everyday wear. I wore leggings under these and was comfortable outside in below 0 temps. They feel very sturdy and durable but I haven't had them long enough to personally evaluate.

Wool Sweatpants 420 Midweight

I love these sweatpants and their quality! Soft, comfortable and warm. The waist band is substantial and hits at the perfect location above my belly button which I find most comfortable. Nice to have pockets as well. I appreciate that they are 100% Alpaca wool. I also have the leggings which as a tighter fit, so its nice to have something a little more relaxed, yet not baggy. I am practically living in them during our cold Wisconsin winter months.

I love these sweatpants

so glad that I bought them. I also have the mid-weight tights in the same size which are very snug fitting, and these sweatpants are a little more relaxed and comfortable in fit all over. Still flattering but are not baggy. I am 5'4" ~129lb and the smalls are slightly long but it's not a big deal. Enjoying the front pockets. Waist band is comfortable and hits about an inch below my belly button. Love the fabric weight and feel. Substantial and cozy. I have been wearing them daily. Easy to wash in sink and line dry. I regret waiting as long as I did to purchase them :) Love your products!

Women's Alpaca Wool Sweatpants

Great quality Sweatpants. Compared with others on the web, they look much nicer and are much more comfortable. Wool is the best material for sweatpants! Good for your body and health! Love them! Thank you!

Hi Diana,
Thank you for your kind words! We're so happy to hear that you love the quality and comfort of our sweatpants. We couldn’t agree more—wool truly is the best! We appreciate your support and hope you continue to enjoy them.

Warm and cozy but just a tad itchy

Don’t get me wrong these joggers are great! Very high quality. Nice and thick fabric. Very warm and cozy but just a tad itchy on the skin. The itchiness did lessen as I wore them and got used to it and I think after a few washes it will go away completely. I would say they run true to size but a tad on the larger side as well. I’m 5’6” and 140lbs and I ordered a size small and they were fitted like I prefer but not too small at all. If you want baggy just size up. Highly recommend!

Hi Jess,

We’re so happy to hear that you love the quality and coziness of the joggers! It’s great to know that they’re keeping you warm and comfy. The fabric does tend to soften with wear and washes, so we hope they’ll feel even better over time!

Really appreciate you sharing your experience and sizing insights—it’s super helpful for others. Thanks again for the recommendation!

Good Quality Alpaca, Poor Attention to Detail

My sweatpants arrived with a hole in the pocket. I sent multiple emails to customer service and never received any reply. Given the price, I was hoping for better attention to detail and quality control. The alpaca itself is warm and very cozy.

Amazing Alpaca

I have numerous alpaca sweaters and was thrilled to find these alpaca sweat pants. This my second order from Arms of Andes. My first order was an alpaca quarter zip top. I was so impressed with quality of the fabric and workmanship that I wanted some bottoms to go with it. I will definitely be ordering from this company again.

I LOVE these. Warm, soft cosy.

I LOVE these. Warm, soft cosy--great for Montana winters. I'm so short I tuck the ankle bands up under the legs, which helps keep my ever-cold ankles warm. They also look great--trim but not tight, and the on-seam pockets don't bulge!
