Hand wash or machine wash on a gentle/wool cycle in cold water (50-68°F). Use a mild wool-safe or pH-neutral detergent. Wash with similar colors. Don't bleach or use fabric softener.

Reshape while damp and lay flat to dry. Don't tumble dry, twist, or wring. Cool iron if needed. Store folded in a cool, dry space with airflow; avoid hanging.

The benefits

Why Alpaca wins

Alpacas en los Andes peruanos

Andes-adapted for changing temperatures

Alpacas evolved where days run warm and nights turn cold. Their semi-hollow fibers trap insulating air, helping you stay comfortable as the temperature changes.

Softness starts in the fiber

Alpaca’s smoother scales give the fabric a soft feel against your skin. Comfort comes from the fiber’s structure.

Wear more, wash less

Alpaca wool naturally resists odor. Air your layer between wears, then wash it when it needs cleaning. Less time doing laundry. More time outside.

Single origin

Peru, start to finish.

Arms of Andes is a family company with roots in the Peruvian Andes. “Arms” brings together the initials of four siblings. That connection to Peru shapes what we make and where we make it.

From fiber sourcing and yarn spinning to knitting and sewing, production stays in Peru. One country, with the people and knowledge behind your gear close together.

Very cozy and good quality. Medium fits my skinny fingers. I usually wear an L.

I got this primarily for walks in the mountain chill, and am not disappointed. I have longer skinny hands (fingers), but not like Nosferatu, that are usually cold and these are perfect for chilly walks or as a glove liner. My only wish is that these were higher up the wrist, as when I put my hands in my pockets, the wrist is not covered.

I do not believe that the Medium would fit large "meaty" hands

Great gloves, great customer service

The gloves serve as the best base layer glove I have ever used. I’m a runner and run outside year round. This winter is very cold in Ohio and these gloves provide protection for my Raynaud’s Syndrome that I’ve never experienced before.

I had an issue with the stitching one one of the fingers and customer service 100% made it right.

Soft and comfortable!! The gloves hug the fingers without constriction, the underwear don't ride and the tank is luxurious...all are true to size and fit as expected. Will definitely be buying from this store again !!!

Weird finger sizing

The fingers of these gloves are ridiculously long. I will have to shorten them all …. Otherwise there will be no dexterity at all.

Hi Katrina,

Thanks for your feedback! We’re sorry to hear the fit wasn’t quite what you expected. We truly appreciate your input and will take it into consideration for future designs. Let us know if there’s anything else we can do for you!

Okay, with a caveat

Great glove liners if you have very long fingers! I had to shorten the fingers in my gloves quite a bit. Annoying, but I think I will like having these thin glove liners in Iowa’s cold winters.

Hi Katrina,

Thanks for your feedback! We're happy to hear you’re finding the glove liners useful for those cold Iowa winters. We appreciate your patience with the fit and hope they keep your hands warm and comfortable. Thanks for your support!

Fits Like a Glove

Theses gloves are soft and comfortable, a good light glove or liner. Recommended!

Alpaca wool gloves

A bit disappointed in these gloves. I ordered them because of the comment how warm 100% alpaca is. I don’t find them to be that warm. I use them as a liner for my ski mitten. They didn’t keep my hands warm. Also, they don’t cover the wrist. The picture on the website shows the wrist covered. The gloves I received fall short and leave my wrist exposed. The company may need better quality control. It’s not hard to follow a template. For this reason I did not give a 5 star review.

Comfortable light weight gloves

These lightweight gloves are very comfortable. They're quite warm and wind resistant while still being thin. Thumbs up!

That's right! our gloves are the best :D

Short Gloves

The gloves are not quite as pictured, no label, and they seem like they are 1/2"+ shorter on the wrist than expected. They fit my hands well and are comfortable and warm otherwise.

The gloves are ok but

The gloves are ok but I don't like where the seam is across the glove.

Warm and very wind resistant

The large were true to size. I feel like my palms are bigger than my fingers should be so there is some space on fingers leftover for me but not much. I think they are for weather that is about 22 F and below. Above this it is overkill especially as a base layer.

Nice, light weight and comfortable

The fit is a little odd. I usually wear a size medium glove, so that's what I ordered. They mostly fit well but the fingers, especially the middle finger, are a little long. I like them a lot otherwise, and have already worn them a lot.

Warm, warm, warm!

Warm, warm, warm! Beautifully made. Use as liners or by themselves when you need something besides bare hands outside.

Very soft and warm

Very soft and warm but the seam is not the best.

Well these gloves are very soft and nice.

Well these gloves are very soft and nice. However I must be rough on gloves. I already have a couple holes in the fingers. They do serve their purpose and for people who are a bit more careful than me. I'm sure they're great.

Update to my review I'm not even through the winter season and these gloves are basically falling apart at the seams.

I wear them to drive to work and back and that's about it. I'm not putting a lot of wear on these gloves.

Upon further inspection, it's clear that the seams are weakly stitched together with one strand of yarn.

My recommendation to the seller is to reinforce the seams with a stronger stitch pattern to avoid this in the future.

High quality gloves. They matched the description perfectly, and fit...like a glove(s). I got the liners and while they're thin, they're thick enough to wear out and about in 30 degree F weather, without feeling much of a chill.
