Alpaca is softer, lighter, stronger, and warmer per micron than Merino and Cashmere. It's shorter and less frequent scales allow for a softer feel while whisking away moisture from the skin. The fibers have microscopic pockets that keep the fabric light while retaining more heat than wool. Alpaca is naturally odor resistant and contains no lanolin.
