Free-Roaming Andean Alpacas

Alpacas roam freely in their natural habitat in the highlands of Peru. Their farmers never harm or kill them for their wool. Alpacas create small footprints that do not damage the fields they graze on. When they eat, they cut the grass, promoting regrowth.

SINGLE ORIGIN SUPPLY CHAIN

Where Was This Hoodie Made?

We use natural local resources and a short transparent supply chain. Our mission is to teach you as much as possible about how clothes should be made. Together we can move the fashion industry towards a sustainable future.

Designed & Made in One Country: Peru

Contrary to industry norms, every step involved in making our clothes is done in only one country: Peru, the home of our family. Our production in Peru includes fiber sourcing, yarn spinning, fabric knitting, dyeing, finishing, and garment sewing.

From Peru, our clothes go straight to California or Europe on its journey to you.

Low Carbon Footprint

Manufacturing in one country allows us to greatly reduce our carbon footprint and freight shipping. This is a major step on our journey to becoming a carbon negative company.

Transparency & Traceability

We avoid industrial farming by working with co-op farmers in the Andes. Doing everything in Peru guarantees we know how the alpacas and the workers involved are being treated.

My son only praises the jacket that my daughter and I purchased for him. He had researched the quality and rated it A 5 star
There was a bit of concern on getting it on time and when addressed to you it arrived !!

Performs well an It might be what you're looking for

Breathable insulation, Hoodie, YKK hardware.
There is a lot to like about the Arms of Andes Wool Jacket.
The wool - it really is soft and not itchy, a little bit of
'give'/stretch which is expected.
Thumbholes to keep the sleeves in place, YKK metal zipper.
Hoodie has plenty of room - and would fit well under a properly
adjusted helmet.
This hoodie is not wind/water proof - you would need an outer garment
to provide that.
This is best as a Base Layer in you're kit - not as an outer layer IMO.
The thumbholes are very helpful for keeping the arms in place when used as a base layer.
I found the size (Lg) to be a little snug - but I'm 6' #220.
The arms were also snug - as I said, great as a base under a proper outer garment.
At the end of the week - I had to concede that the lack of any pockets really was an
issue for me because I wanted to wear it more often - but without a place to put my hands
or my phone, keys, etc...I ended up opting for another hoodie in my closet.
I'd likely be more comfy in an XL - but without the pockets, It would probably stay in the closet
except for those much colder days when I needed 2 layers to be out.
As a base layer? I would say this jacket would be an excellent pick.
This jacket is VERY well made - the stitching was excellent and all the panels were consistent.
YKK zipper is a metal zipper it works well and is very secure to the fabric - but the action was not as smooth as most of the YKKs I am familiar with.

420 full zip hoodie too thin

I have no idea of what 420 means. I have 400 merino wool jackets that are much thicker. This is a thin hoodie. The wind goes through it. It’s good other than that. Comfortable and warm for the weight. Wonder if I got the wrong one shipped to me? I’m 6’2” and 210 lbs, and the XL fits.

Thank you for your lovley comment, Every day we are making our best to proide you witht the best items :D
