SINGLE ORIGIN SUPPLY CHAIN

Where Was This Shirt Made?

We use natural local resources and a short transparent supply chain. Our mission is to teach you as much as possible about how clothes should be made. Together we can move the fashion industry towards a sustainable future.

Designed & Made in One Country: Peru

Contrary to industry norms, every step involved in making our clothes is done in only one country: Peru, the home of our family. Our production in Peru includes fiber sourcing, yarn spinning, fabric knitting, dyeing, finishing, and garment sewing.

From Peru, our clothes go straight to California or Europe on its journey to you.

Low Carbon Footprint

Manufacturing in one country allows us to greatly reduce our carbon footprint and freight shipping. This is a major step on our journey to becoming a carbon negative company.

Transparency & Traceability

We avoid industrial farming by working with co-op farmers in the Andes. Doing everything in Peru guarantees we know how the alpacas and the workers involved are being treated.

Most comfortable casual shirt I own

I absolutely love these shirts. They are comfortable in any weather, look great, feel great and don’t smell like cotton candy after a days wear. Buying more.

Kevin Sensitive Skin
Quality Organic but still itchy

I appreciate the natural materials, but alpaca is still just as itchy as merino for my obviously sensitive skin. I’ll only wear it in an emergency because I can’t tolerate the itch. For those that can tolerate merino, it’s probably a good option for you.

Love the shirt, was very frustrated by shipping times.

The colour, feel and function of this fabric is fantastic. I ordered it on Black Friday, and received it at the end of January. This was an international order, but only to Canada, no overseas shipping required. The management of the shipping was dreadful. I totally lost faith in your company.

Not Dog friendly

The Day I received the shirts I tried them on and the fit perfectly, but unfortunately that night my sons Dog took a liking to the them as well and completely destroyed them. Never even got a chance to use them. Very upsetting especially since they aren't the cheapest shirts.
Any way got a bit of a special on the black Friday sales so maybe second time lucky.

the right fit and right feel

I have been searching for the right t-shirt to start replacing old shirts in my wardrobe. I ordered one and am absolutely in love with the fit and feel. I wore it casually around the house. wore it under anther shirt and even tested it in the gym. 100% on point under all circumstances.

Poorly made shirt

I received a V-neck 160 weight shirt, size medium. I am 5'-7", 150#. The fit is good. Not too loose, not too tight. The sewing, or the pattern of this shirt was twisted--the side seams twist around my body instead of hanging straight down. I complained about the twist and received, in exchange, a shirt with exactly the same twist. For what these shirts cost, they should be made with more attention to detail.

Great clothing but

I have a top loading washing machine. I wash EVERYTHING on delicate. I was frustrated when just one long sleeve had a hole in it. Now it’s my short sleeve shirts and the cuffs of my hoodie. I do not leave many reviews, but now I feel compelled. I have spent over $500 dollars with this company. If you don’t plan on hand-washing, I would not recommend these garments. If you are fine with that, it’s worth the money.

Hi Kris,
We’re very sorry to hear about the issues you’ve experienced with your garments. Since they are made from alpaca, the fabric is naturally more delicate than typical materials and requires extra care to maintain its quality. We truly understand your frustration, especially given your dedication as a customer, and we appreciate your feedback, it helps us provide better guidance on caring for these pieces so they last longer.

It does not look good

The material does not look that good, it has a texture of an old, pilling, kinda fuzzy sweater. It just does not look that good, and to top it all off, it is slightly itchy, not like a sheep wool sweater, but definitely not as delicate as merino wool.
Shipping, priace and all are as advertised so I can't give them 1 star, but I won't be buying another one.

Hi There
We’re very sorry to hear that the material didn’t meet your expectations. Our garments are made from Royal Alpaca, which is known for its softness and quality, but we understand that everyone’s skin reacts differently, and some may experience discomfort while others do not.
We truly appreciate your honest feedback and will take it into consideration as we continue to improve our products. Thank you again for giving us a try.

Worst shirt i have ever payed for

I got 3 shirt 2 socks pair Not only its expensive but the material is so rough on the skill makes you itchy cotton is better i was actually hoping for silk quality softness with the strength of cashmere or better but this is total trash just lost $200 for this stuff.

Hi Maria
We're very sorry to hear that the garments didn’t meet your expectations and that you experienced discomfort. In some cases, the issue isn’t with the fabric itself but rather how an individual’s skin reacts to certain natural fibers. Alpaca is typically known for its softness and warmth, but we understand that sensitivity can vary from person to person.
We truly appreciate your feedback and are sorry for the disappointment

Alpaca shirt review

Very soft, warm and fits well. I can't attest to its longevity since I've only had it a couple of weeks, but so far it's been a very nice shirt

Stink free for sure but quite itchy....

I wanted to like it since Merino Wall is itchy and I was looking for something better. Unfortunately in my experience is still unconfortably itchy and I do not understand why since itchiness should be associated to lanolin and Alpaca does not have it.... not sure what to think. I am still want to wear it but it is painfully itchy on my skin. I like to know if other people have experienced the same issue

Excellent V-Neck t-shirt

The shirt fits well and the material feels wonderful. I'm tall, slender and broad in the shoulders and the large fit just fine.

Exceeded expectations

Feels light weight yet is toasty warm. Felt slightly scratchy at first but used it in combination with my merino 1/4 zip in cold weather and it served me very well. Seems well made. I will be buying more.

Hi Robert! Thank you so much for sharing your feedback! We're thrilled to hear that the garment kept you warm and performed well in cold weather. The initial feel often softens with wear, and we're glad it’s working out for you. We appreciate your support and look forward to helping you with future purchases!

Delivery terrible

Order 3 shirt package - delivery came 11 months later - the white shirts are more of a off white cream color - not that appealing! Took so long forgot about order and thought it was a scam

Hi there!
We apologize for the long delay and for the color issue with your shirts. We understand how disappointing this must be and appreciate you bringing it to our attention.

We strive to improve our processes and ensure that such delays and issues do not happen in the future. Your feedback is invaluable to us as we work towards bettering our service.

If there's anything we can do to address this, please let us know. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Unlike anything else...

I recently bought two more short sleeved base layers. I've been testing my alpaca shirts like a mad scientist for a couple years now; e.g. I worked out in the same shirt for 5 weeks, 3 times per week. Hey, I said it was a test. I'm not kidding when I say there was NO (bad) odor. Even when I myself smelled horrific. I even had my partner take a whiff (they were unaware of the extent to which it had been worn). I know, non-consensual but I smelled it first and it didn't smell! They said it smelled like...fabric. Crazy! That's my first observation.

The second amazing porperty of alpaca wear is the temperature regulation. I've been surprised to find my alpaca base layers have become my new go to for not just fall, spring, and winter, but summer as well. Maybe I'm biased in this regard but it sure feels like the alpaca baselayer actually keeps me cooler in hotter temps. I've also done a lot of testing while exercising in the winter months. Being able to sweat heavily in sub-freezing weather and have the alpaca wick the sweat away from my body to minimize the chances of hypothermia is crucial.

I've been very pleased with the quality of the shirts I've gotten. Let's be realistic though. These are light material and must be taken care of mindfully. Proper washing and keeping moths away will be enough. But also, don't use your base layer to grip your twist off bottle cap. I learned that the hard way!

Thank you for sharing your extensive and thorough testing of our alpaca shirts! We're delighted to hear about your positive experiences with the odor resistance and temperature regulation properties. It's impressive to know that even after intense workouts and multiple wears, the shirts remain fresh.

Your observations on alpaca's ability to keep you cool in hot weather and warm in cold weather are spot on and highlight the versatility of the material. We appreciate your feedback on the care required for these garments, and your advice is valuable to all our customers.

We’re thrilled that you’ve been pleased with the quality of our shirts. Thank you for being a dedicated tester and sharing your findings with us. Happy adventuring, and we look forward to hearing more about your experiences!

Good fit, feels great, great for workouts, skiing

I have two of these shirts and alternate them. They fit great, take forever to stink up, and are very comfortable as a first layer during outdoor exercise through the winter here in Minnesota. The test is not so much the exercise but the standing around yakking afterwards and not getting a chill! At first seem pricey for a t-shirt, but with all else considered, now I'll see if they last. Very hopeful about that.

It's great to know that they maintain their comfort and functionality even during post-exercise downtime :D

Initially itchy but great after a bit

I found out the initial itchiness came from the fiber ends. This eventually resolves itself naturally and then the shirt is very comfortable and fits very well.
