Very warm

I use them when I am birding and they are very warm even ehen the weather goes down to single digits. I love them they are much warmer then sheep wool

Itchier than expected

The leggings are a good weight and seem durable, but the fabric is itchier than I expected. I did wash the leggings before wearing with a special wool wash. I knit with alpaca yarn without issues, so I am not sure why the leggings are giving me this reaction. Maybe it will improve over time?

super warm and well fitting, I love them

I first bought the light-weight leggings and t-shirt through REI and didn't take them off for a week! Bought this thicker pair to wear daily for a 12 day trip in Northern Norway- (no washing during the trip) and they were perfect. Warm, comfortable, although definitely stiffer than the lightweight version. The only constriction was around my knees if I squatted down, but it was not uncomfortable and I didn't notice the fabric stretching out afterwards. The weave is tight enough that they are wind resistant. I am 5'4" and ~128 and I got the size small, no complaints. I don't tolerate pants that are too snug around my waist and so I really appreciate the wide waist band that wasn't too tight. Almost too warm to wear inside if the heat is on- I traded out for the light-weight leggings when I got too hot. Super pleased with this company and their products.

I will say that these were a bit scratchy/itchy when I first got them- but that diminished a lot after hand washing. I did notice that some of the dye came out into the wash water but less with each wash.

Love, love, love these!

I love, love, love these! And plan to buy more. They're more snug than what I'm used to but they loosened up, just a little (but I wouldn't call it saggy), around my knees and hips where I bend, which I need in order to feel comfortable. The rest of them have stayed snug and it turns out I like that because it keeps me warmer. I've worn them for 5 days without washing and they are still snug and warm. I'm about 5' 6", 125 pounds and bought a small. They're just right. I'm definitely buying more as my budget allows. Thank you Arms of Andes for a great product!
