OUR PRODUCTS

Our vision at Arms of Andes is to design performance clothing based on nature, to help people to return to nature. Using alpaca wool clothing means you can pack lighter, wash your clothing less and wear it, safe in the knowledge that it was produced with minimal negative impact on the environment.

ALL OUR PRODUCTS ARE BUILT WITH THE FOLLOWING SIX FEATURES IN MIND

SIMPLICITY

Our clothing is designed for function. The flattering cut and sleek design, with no additional or unnecessary flair, reduces the quantity of materials required, as well as ensuring that bits don't fall off our garments and that our clothing doesn’t go out of fashion.

PERFORMANCE

The core of our design is performance. We choose our materials – mostly 100% royal alpaca wool fabric – as well as the cut, style and elements of our clothing, to create garments that are functional in all different environments, conditions and for all outdoor and travel activities.

DURABILITY

Say good-bye to fast fashion with Arms of Andes. We don’t want you to buy gear that you’ll have to throw away in a year, so our clothes are built to last.

VERSATILITY

How can we buy less and create less waste?  Buying products that can be used for a variety of activities and occasions. Simple, attractive designs, with a focus on performance, mean that Arms of Andes clothing can be used for everything: from traveling to hiking; grabbing coffee with friends to trail running; and from lounging on the sofa to keeping warm at camp.

NATURAL

Why look to synthetics when nature already does it better? Alpaca wool is one of the highest performing fibers on the market, and it is produced naturally. In our Natrual Colors Line, we pair alpaca wool with natural cotton, for stitching the garment together, and we use natural dyes too.

SUSTAINABILITY

We try to have the smallest carbon footprint of any outdoor apparel brand, sourcing our components in one place: Peru. Alpaca wool is natural, renewable and produced without intensive farming. Plus, using natural fibers and natural colors means that much of our clothing is biodegradable, so won’t contaminate the environment at the end of its life.

AT ARMS OF ANDES, WE USE 100% NATURAL FIBERS - ROYAL ALPACA WOOL - FOR OUR FABRICS*

* Except for our socks which are 56% alpaca wool and 44% nylon

Less is More for Arms of Andes

Sustainable, from the choice of fiber, to the supply chain, to the packaging used for shipping, to the end of life of the product, you can be safe in the knowledge that the clothing you wear to enjoy nature, is produced with the lowest possible negative impact. Versatile, long-lasting, and low maintenance, you can buy fewer garments, pack less & travel lighter.
